The short version: use the tools freely, for anything, including at work and in class. They are provided as they are, and you are responsible for what you do with a result.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What the service is
Pick a Random provides free random selection and decision-making tools that run in your web browser. There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no payments.
The tools are offered without any commitment that they will remain available, unchanged, or free of faults. Pages may be altered or removed at any time.
You may use these tools for anything lawful
Personal, educational and commercial use are all permitted at no cost and with no licence to request. That explicitly includes:
- Classroom use, including on a projector or a shared school computer.
- Giveaways, raffles and prize draws.
- Business use — assigning tasks, sampling records, splitting teams.
- Recording your screen while using a tool, including for a video, a stream or a social post.
No attribution is required, though a link is always appreciated.
What you may not do
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaks the law where you are.
- Attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or other people’s use of it.
- Copy the site’s code, text or design to republish as your own work. The tools are free to use; that is not the same as free to reproduce.
- Scrape or automate requests at a volume that burdens the service.
- Present a result from this site as being certified, notarised or independently audited. It is none of those things — see below.
Results are provided as they are
The tools are designed to be genuinely unbiased, and the method is documented openly on how randomness works. Even so, no guarantee is made that any result is fit for a particular purpose, and no result is independently verified or certified.
You are responsible for how a result is used. If a draw carries legal weight, real money, regulatory obligations, or consequences someone might reasonably dispute, use a service that provides audited, signed and independently verifiable draws. Do not rely on a free browser tool for that, this one included.
The draw record feature demonstrates that an entry list was not altered after a stated time. It does not, and cannot, prove to a third party that the selection itself was random.
Your data and your lists
The tools process everything locally in your browser and do not transmit the lists you enter. Saved lists are stored in your own browser and can be deleted by you at any time. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Because your lists are stored only on your device, we cannot recover one for you if it is lost — for example after clearing your browser data or switching devices. Keep your own copy of anything important.
Intellectual property
The text, design, code and name of this site belong to its owner and are protected by copyright. You may link to any page freely, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of the content, or copy the tools to run under a different name.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to external sites. Those are provided as useful references and are not under our control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner of this site is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on a result it produces, including any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
